Credit Card Tips

Read The Fine Prints
Always, always read the fine prints. Before you sign up for a credit card, find out all about the terms and conditions which come with the credit card – even if it is a pre-approved card. Find out what interest rate you will be paying and what are the various charges applicable. Find out about the annual fees, late charges, period of credit and whether charges are applicable for letters of reminders. Evaluate the competing terms between the credit card companies.
Shop!
Shop around. You are the customer and you decide which card is best for you. Compare the interest rates and terms between the different credit cards. Choose the credit card which best suits your needs and spending habits. If you are constantly on the road, a credit card which gives cash rebates for pumping fuel might be more appropriate.
Be Prudent
If you have a credit limit of $10,000.00, use it wisely. It is, afterall, just a credit. It is not free cash! If you swipe your credit card, you still need to pay for them. Many credit card holders are in debt because they have taken on more credit than they can handle or have not used credit responsibly. Don’t spend more than you can afford and maintain a good credit rating by paying your bills promptly.
